Baby Shower Goodies

This past weekend was my baby shower and I cant say how grateful i am towards Jenny and Beki for throwing it for me. Im glad that the rain held out long enough for us to be able to enjoy ourselves. Everything was so cute and delicious (the cake was awesome *drool*). Afterwards we went and had a great dinner at Francescos. During that time, baby Grant popped a hole in his teether. When we left, Jenny left it on the table for them to throw away. The waiter came running out after he found it and tried to wave me down to return it.... I acted like i didnt see him and drove off. I felt a little bad as i sawhim walk back through the door with a depressed look on his face.

I was SO tired when i got home. All i remember is asking Jerry to unload the packed car, sitting down on the couch and complaining that my back hurt. Then I woke up and it was 9:30 on sunday and I was in my bed. Apparently, jerry was able to get me to wake up enough to waddle to the bed before i passed out from exhaustion. lol.

I love everything I got from the shower. The only thing that I have to return in the mobile that Dad and Tammy got my. It doesnt fit the sleigh crib that we have so it doesnt securely stay in place. I was pretty bummed but im sure I can find one that does fit.

Heres some random pics:

This is my load from the shower. It took me all day sunday to put everything where it should go.

These are my favorite outfits from the shower. Theyre so cute! This is after i put everything where it should go. Thats the cabinet that Jerry made. It has tons of storage space. Im still trying to figure out what to do to this wall- it looks so boring compared to the other green one.Notice the fish tank that jerry had to put in. Theres only two occupants in it right now- the ferocious tomato clown fish and a cardinal fish. The other two that we bought went belly up for some unknown reason. *tear* I still havent put on the bedding yet. I love the rocker that mom and granny got me for the shower- its really comfy.

I love just walking into the babys room and looking around. I cant wait for Hayden to actually be here!

10 things that happened in school that I never told my mom about

1. In fifth grade, I made a sign that said "Help me, my bus driver is crazy" and put it up on the window of the bus. Soon, half the kids on the bus had made similar signs. I got off the bus before she found them. The next day, i was called to the office and asked if i was behind these signs. I gave the principal my innocent girl face and pointed to the one sign that i had made (it was on the top of the pile.) He asked what would happen if he called my parents. I told him that i would be grounded for a long time. He never called. He later became the high school principal and was always awesome towards me.

2. Again in fifth grade-I was given time out during recess for talking to my bf, Amber Kelly. I thought it was just her and me sitting by the swings waiting for the time to pass. We were always pretty open about things. I let out a huge fart and heard "WOAH AMBER OH MY GOSH" from behind me. Turns out, some kid from my class was also "doing time" but i hadnt seen him. My bad.

3. In High school i was assigned Library Aid with my friend. It sucked. One day we hid out in the history video section the entire duration of that period. What did we do? Watch The Tyra Banks Show.

4. 3rd Grade- my first year of real school. I had a cut from recess on my hand and had got a cotton ball with alcohol to clean it up. I remember that I liked the way the desk looked when the alcohol touched it. From then on I started to clean my desk with cotton balls and alcohol 2-3 times daily. My desk partner ratted me out and I was banned from using the medical supplies.

5. 7th grade- My friend Shannon and I started using my english teachers room phone to prank call the nieghboring teacher (Mrs. Giddings). One day, we called and (in a man voice) informed her that we were holding her pens ransom and if she wanted to see them again, she should put $20 in unmarked bills in the womens restroom third stall from the right (something like that). We didnt realise that the door was open and from where she was at, she could see the reflection of us in the window of the door. We were given two days of lunch d-hall.

6. 5th grade- I was assigned seating next to a kid named Kevin who i had a crush on. We started talking and something made me laugh really hard. I threw my head back, then brought it down to what i thought was my folded arms. Wrong. I miscalculated my head measurements and i ended up slamming my front teeth into the table resulting in a chipped tooth. I remember saying "i just chipped my tooth!" and kevin just laughed and laughed. jerk.

7. 12th grade- in PE (yes... i was a senior in PE) the coach was out for a week and we had a sub. We were supposed to run/jog/walk six laps daily before being able to do something else. The coach had made a "fool proof" method of making sure we did it- the sub was supposed to mark our names after each lap. Sucker. I walked up to the sub with my hair in a pony tail and got one mark. I went back to the end of the line (everyone was waiting to give their names for their mark) took my hair down and got a second mark. I didnt the same thing again and again. I ended up only doing like two laps. Thats right- i was the ultimate slacker.

8. I was vice president of FCCLA for two years. They used to do Blizzard days where they would sell Dairy Queen Blizzards to the kids. I knew where they were stashed when they weren't being sold. Needless to say, i snatched a few every once in a while.

9. In middle school i was akways annoyed by the amount of milk they give you to drink with your lunch. So i would wear my baggy jacket around my waist and occasionally put a second carton of milk in my pocket.

10. 4th grade Theater Arts. We were forced to get in groups and lip sync a popular song of our choice then preform it for the rest of our grade. My group finally ended up chosing "Oops I did it again". It was me and Marissa as front dancers and Yexza and Agnieszka as the backups. Marissa and I had no idea what we were doing. We were horrible. The song was finally coming to an end and we got ready for the final move. We grabbed eachothers hand, did a circle, then fell to our knees with our hands int he air. As we hit the stage floor all you could hear was a huge "BOOM" as our body weight made contact- which in turn made the cd player that was off to the side skip. It was horrible.

Progress

We've been painting since yesterday- this is what we have so far. The elephant and tree i did actually turned out looking nice.

doctors visit

Today was the best doctors appointment by far. I didn't have to wait forever and ever in the waiting room and they have a new nurse that is really nice (unlike the other one that seemed to just want to finish her shift). He actually answered my questions in terms that i understood. And no, i didn't have the picture of the baby on my belly...

He did however hint to me that he wanted me to get to 7 cm dilated before the iv medications. Uh... i think with the expression of my face he knew that i didn't think i would go that far, because he quickly told me that if at 3-4 cm I was set on an epidural, it would be easily accessible.

He made me feel the babys head- it was extremely uncomfortable. I felt like i was somehow squishing him.

The test results for the diabetes came back and everything was normal. My iron was low so i got a prescription .

The BEST part was when he told me that I had yet to gain 20 pounds and that this was really good as most first time pregnancies tend to gain too much weight. Who doesnt like to hear that they arent overweight? This made my day.

"Can you say no to this lovable face?"

Funny story:

Ive been craving for some chips and queso from Super Taco. Todays thursday so they are actually open at night. I knew jerry wouldnt want to go, so i prepared a fool-proof method to get him to go. He came home and i asked him if he wanted super taco.
"No. Gross"-him
"C'mon, i think Hayden wants it too..."-me as i start to giggle
"Noo. I dont like Super Taco, you can order something if you want"- him
"But i want you to eat with me..."- i turn around to face him "can you say no to this lovable face?" I lifted up my shirt to expose this:

Haha. Excuse the whiteness of my belly...

Crummy Days

Yesterday i woke up to the feeling that everthing i ate the night before was still lodged in my throat. I could feel it in there. I began to drink water to try and force it down, but no luck. It lasted all day long. For the first time in many months, i barely ate a thing. It just felt so uncomfortable to eat anything- it just stayed in my throat. I think i ate a PB&J, an orange, and a waffle the entire day (which i didnt hold down for long... i started gagging on the pb&j and everything just came back up). Who knows what it was. I woke up this morning feeling fine. Yay!

I registered at Target for the baby shower. It was fustrating! There were so many different brands of the same thing- i think i scanned a couple of things that were basically the same but different makers. There was so many cute stuff!

Jerry washed the fabric from the car seat and semi-ruined it. The canopy party is all droopy now- the metal pieces that kept it nice and stiff seemed to have... broken or lost their strength. I scanned a new one at target. Hopefully ill be able to find a replacement.

I cant wait for Don's fishing lake to be done. It was looking sooo good.

Im going shopping for living room lights today. For some reason, the living room relys on the light from the dining area. It gets really dark and it bugs me!! I feel like im in a cave. I want to get like a sconce thing. Wish me luck! Theres a store here in town having a huge sale, im going to go check it out.

Bullets

  • How do you put fancy bullets? some of yall have really cute ones..
  • Jerrys getting sick. Im thinking a stomach bug. He came home for lunch complaining of stomach aches then ran into the bathroom. Hopefully he gets better soon.
  • I love sitting down and watching my stomach move as hayden squirms around. Its such a neat experience.
  • Had an interesting experience at walmart yesterday. I went walking in feeling fine, heading to mcdonalds to get a drink. Suddenly, I began coughing and knew that i was going to puke soon. So my walk slowly turned into a brisk speed walk, then more of a forceful get-out-of-the-way emergency run. I thought i saw gema there, but i was scared that i would upchuck if i stalled. I made it to the back bathroom entrance and started to go inside. Then i realised that i had nothing in my cart and that someone would most likely steal it, so i returned to the cart, grabbed a superduty huge thing of laundry detergent that was on sale, threw it into the cart and ran into th ebathroom. Of course, there had to be a million people in there. I waited in the stall afterwards until everyone was gone, then made my exit. I was extremely embarrassed.
  • Haydens been kicking and moving nonstop for about ten minutes now.
  • I woke up today in a cleaning mood. I cleaned the kitchen, living room, and dining area before 11. I am proud
  • Jerrys brother is moving out next week. yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Ive already picked out the paint color to start painting asap. Im soo glad hes leaving. Hes been eating a lot of the food ive been buying to jerry and i to eat. Grr. I dont mind sharing, but when he eats a whole loaf of bread with his food and drinks all of the juice/soda/milk without thinking twice about it, i get kind of annoyed. Then he spends all his money on junk, then asks us for money. The other day he only had like 20 dollars for food for the week. The first day he went to wendys and spent it all instead of eating what Olga has made him, then the next day asked us for 20 dollars for his gas. Are you kidding me?! he could have went to walmart with his original 20 dollars and got stuff to last him three days. Hes a nice guy, just living with him sucks.
  • we're finally getting cable in the apartment. I prefer satellite but the apartments here are hard to set up with satellite. Oh well. Im just glad that i wontbe stuck watching court tv anymore.

First

These are Hayden's first never- been worn/used items. Jesse got him the longhorn onsie(of course:P) and the giraffe, mom got him the newborn slippers (which are very cute- thanks)
