We have takeoff!!

Jerry and I went to the movies tonight. As i sat down, i got a text saying "You didnt tell me he was walking". Needless to say, I semi freaked out. We got home and Tammy showed us Haydens new trick! So exciting. sorry its sideways

Birthday Cakes.

Check 'em out. Ariel wanted a tinkerbell cake. Hayden didnt give a flip. Im not a pro at this fondant stuff, but it came out cute. Thats a tube with a present on it, in case you cant tell...

My Little Boy

I remember driving in the early morning light. So nervous. My stomach was tight with emotion. It seemed to be taking forever to ge tto the hospital. Hayden didnt move in my stomach. He must have known what was happening.
Steping out of the car, the wind rushed around me, lifting my hair off my shoulders. Jerry took my hand and we slowly walked towards the hospital door. We checked in. My hands shook as i tied the straps of the hospital gown. I smiled at Jerry, and we hugged.I remember the smell and feel of the bed. You sunk into it. Not the good sinking. More like the sinking you feel on a gym mat. As they put in the IV i remember closing my eyes and thinking that today today ill have a little boy to care fore. Today i'd be a mother. Today. The time passed by so quickly. Family came. I got my epidural. I puked. Around five I was ready to push. At 5:34 I felt the release and saw the doctor hold up my little boy. He was so small. So much hair. So floppy. So loud. So adorable.
Now he's one years old.
The time has passed by so fast.

Hayden,
We've been through a lot this year. Thrush and vomiting. Explosive diapers without wipies. Ear infections and bumps on the head. Scratches and falls.

And lots and lots of smiles and laughter.

I feel so blessed to have you in my life. Your the perfect son for me. I can't wait to share many more memories with you. I hope you know how much i love you and can't live without you. I hope you know that I will do anything to keep you safe and happy. I hope you know that no matter what happens, ill be here.

• Hayden is turning one on May 16, 2009. To all of you who read my blog, you will be recieving an invitation to his party soon. Its going to be combined with Ariels birthday (may 14, 2009). Gema generously agreed to allow us to do it at her house. My house is getting a new roof and will most likely be underconstruction that weekend. :( So sad
  
• I am so close to finishing paying off my car. WEEEEEEEEe
• I need to send off numerous thank you cards.
• Haydens started "dancing" to music now. He swings his arms back and forth. So cute
• I havent decorated any cakes for some time now... i dont miss it.
• Everyday at work , i realize that there are some crazy people living in marble falls.
• Tammy's been watching Hayden for me while i work. I love it. Hayden loves her. Its working out great.
• Ugh i REALLY wanted to win PW's Photo Book Give away. I thought for sure i would get it. I spent like two hours putting my book together! Woe is me.
• I am looking forward to the family get together.
• Hayden LOVES the water. He dives/lunges/grabs anything that remotely sounds like water. Then he giggles and laughs. Its so cute.
• I want a strawberry plant SO BAD. I remember when i was younger we all went to someones house that had a strawberry plant and i got to pick the fresh berries off. They have some at HEB.
