Yummmm

For those of you who love cheesecake- you need to try the Ben and Jerry's Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream. *drool* i tried it three weeks ago and it has been added to my weekly grocerylist ever since. Its soo yummy. Instead of having chunks of cheesecake mixed into vanilla ice cream, its cheesecake icecream with chunks of strawberry and (the best part of all IMO) thick gramcracker swirls. Its delicious.

• I started dental assisting school last saturday. It seems fun so far. Theres a couple of girls in the class that im hoping will drop out.
• My friend Martha(she also does dental assisting) got me approved to go where she works to be a trainee a couple of days a week. They said that since i speak spanish and seem to have a good record, that once i get certified (and if I do well during training), theyll have a job waiting for me. Yay! She works at a pediatric dental office so it should be interesting.
• Haydens thrush seems to have gone away. Theres some very light white marks on the top of his mouth, but im not sure if its milk or still a little thrush.
• Hayden is growing so fast! A lot of the outfits i remember putting him in two weeks ago seem to be either too short or too tight around his belly.
• I have eight chapters of homework to do before saturday. Eek.
• We went and picked up the old traveling van with the TV from leander on sunday. It still smells the same! It bought back a lot of memories. *tear* I loved that van- who wouldnt?! It made driving from gema's to the ranch so easy. I even found a couple of the plastic baggies that we kept our headphones in. They were still labeled. "GINA" and "AMBER"
• How come i cant find a one piece bathing suite thats not outrageously skanky or hideous? I think i need to go check out old navy or something. Ive only gone to Walmart and Bealls. Whats the point of having a one piece if the only thing that connects the top part to the bottom is a small strip of fabric down the front?
• Im off to make some mac & cheese. Yum

Favorite Summer Things

After reading Gema's and JEnnys post about summer, if elt i would add some to the lists

Things i love about summer:

• The smell and feel of putting on a still slightly wet swimsuit
• Sunburns- i know it sounds weird to love sunburns, but i love seeing people/kids with slightly red cheeks and shoulders and the smell of alovera lotion. I guess ive been so sunburned every summer that i associate summer fun with them.
• Sounds of people splashing in water
• the first sip of ice water after youve been swimming for a long time- its so refreshing
• Walking out the door to be greeted by sunlight so bright that you can barely open your eyes
• Fun noodles- summers are just not complete if you didnt use a funnoodle in the water at least once
• afternoon naps after a long day of slacking off
• family get togethers
• ice cream floats
• flip flops with freshly painted toe nails
• sun dried and wind blown hair
• swinging
• hum of bugs at night
• late night capture the flag games

Early Morning Pictures

This is hayden at 3:30am yesterday morning. Haydens thrush got pretty bad and i think that his mouth was sore and keeping him from sleeping. So we were up pretty early just watching tv together. He looks pretty scruffy, poor guy

You know what stinks?

When I get Hayden super clean- smells good, no milk mustach, hair all nice and fluffy- then let Jerry change his diaper. What happens? Hayden pees all over his clean outfit, face and hair. Grr.
