Haydens getting three shots today- im sure that ill be crying right along with him- i havent heard him cry from pain before. *tear* Im supposed to give him baby tylenol before and after.

Works going good. I really enjoy workig with the children. Theyre so much easier to handle. If they start wiggling you canjust tell them straight up to settle down and let you look in their mouth where as ifyou were working on an adult you have to be so much more polite. It sounds bad but its true. My favorite patient so far was a little girl who i took xrays on. when she got to the exam table, she started crying and wanted us to get her mom (we try to take just the kids back and leave their parents in the waiting room). When she saw that i was watching them try to console her, she pointed to me and said crying "I want ms Amber to hold my hand!". It was really cute.

• Im starting work at the pediatric dental office monday. Theres a younger girl that is going to watch hayden while i work. Shes young but i think shell do okay. She seems really responsible. My friend, Martha, has let her watch Miranda (Martha's youngest daughter) since miranda was 4 months old. Marthas's really picky about letting people watch her kids so i think she'll be alright. I told her that we'll try it out for a couple of days and if she doesnt feel like she can handle watching him four days a week then I can look for another person to watch him. Im nervous but i hav efaith in her. Theres really no good daycares here in town that have openings for a baby hayden's age.




• Where have all the days gone? It feels like time is passing by so fast!




• Im getting the other half of my mouth/cavities filled on thursday. Fun. Have you ever had dreams where your teeth start falling off in your hands? It feels nice that those dreams are indeed just dreams and i wont be spitting out pieces of tooth in my hand. Sure, it stinks having a needle jammed into your gums but its great knowing that you dont have cavities rotting away your teeth. :P




• Did i mention that haydens wearing primarily 6-9 month onsies now?- Gema, forget about looking for 3-6months clothings at garage sales. He'll be into the six to nine pretty soon




• Schools going great. Im really good at taking impressions however im still accidently sucking the tongue when im suctioning spit. It doesnt really bother the patients because it doesnt hurt but i feel horrible when i see the tongue suddenly being sucked on like a vacuume trying to suck up a curtain.

Stuff

1. Im hot. Ever since i receieved our electric bill for this month (it was almost 3X what it normally was) we've kept the AC at 79*F and bought a couple of fans to keep a breeze going. It doesnt seem to help. Its okay if your just sitting down but once i get up and clean or whatever it seems so hot. blah. Hopefully changing the water heater temperature will lower the bill so we can put the AC back to where it used to be.
2. Hayden is starting to smile. He only does it when he sees jerry though. It so cute. You can see the corners of his mouth start to twitch then slowly it turns into a smile then he coo's and kicks his feet. Its so adorable
3. The neighbors next door got a chiuwawa. We're not even allowed to have animals here. Its the most annoying dog ever. It barks at every thing that moves- whether it be a moving twig or apassing car. Im hoping they get busted soon. I hate dogs that size.
4. I just changed an explosive diaper that(with sparing you the details) ended up in me having to completely wash hayden from top to bottom.
5. Im getting half of my cavities filled on friday. im really excited. The other half will be filled next week. Gemas watching hayden during my appointment- thank gooddness.
6. Ok im giving in and lowering the temp.

I was bagging up all my old prepregnancy pants to give away to athrift store because i thought i would never be able to get into them again. For some reason, i decided to try one on....

... i could actually button them! Sure, my belly still poofs over the top a little but i was able to put them completely on without worrying about a button popping off and hitting hayden in the head. Theyre also a little tight in the thigh area but hopefully in another month or so ill be ableto comfortably wear them.

This post may seem dumb but you have no idea how much i hate buying new pants. Theres just so many different styles and materials that once i finally get some pairs that i like i just hate to give them away.

I used to jog in the mornings with our dog pheobe (truth be told, i did it for like a month before i finally got tired of waking up early to do it) when i was in highschool and i really enjoyed it. Id like to start doing that again but id either have to take hayden with me or wake up and go jogging at six before jerry goes to work at seven- which wouldnt be soo bad. We shall see. I really want to get back to my weight before i was pregnant or maybe a little less.

Fun Weekend

This weekend was so much fun. It was nice to get out of marble falls for a while. On friday, we left hayden with a friend and went to see Hancock for my birthday. Talk about a fun movie. Although it was really short, it was great to be alone with jerry and not have to worry about hayden waking up mid-movie and crying. On Saturday, we woke up early and drove to the mall to get new clothes for me. It was soo fun. I used to hate the hustle bustle of the mall but it was so relaxing. I didnt worry about people waiting on me or how much i was spending. Plus every single store was having a 50% off summer sale. I went into New York & Co and got like five shirts that normally sold for $45-$55 but the sale price was less than ten. I also got a cute belt that cost me $2.99 but was being sold before for $24. I love being cheap and finding good deals. Plus Hayden was perfect the entire time. We stopped once for a feeding but the rest of the time he was an angel. I left the mall with 9 tops, some undergarments and one pair of pants- I hate shopping for pants. We got back around six that night and relaxed in the house the rest of the night. Dairy Queen called and asked if i could go on sundays to decorate cakes because they currently have no decorators working. So, i went at 9:30 did about 12 cakes and left at 12:45 to get my hair done. Ahh. I love how shiny your hair looks when the beauticians fix it. I can never get that shine to stay. Something about their shampoo is magic. The rest of the day was relaxing again. All we did was take naps and watch movies on tv. Nice

Some things that i love about hayden

• How when hes starting to wake up, he makes sucking motions with his mouth as though he cant wait for that bottle but doesnt want to wake up quite yet.



• His poop face- his mouth purses into a little "O" (see pic)>>>



• His eyes- theyre just so cute



• How hes starting to coo when i wash his hair



• When i kiss him on the tip of his nose his entire face scrunches up as though he smelled something bad



• his man-like toots



• how he follows me with his eyes while im walking around



• how his lower lip folds over when hes angry



• How he always has to have one foot out of the covers- like me.



• how his cheeks make his eyes semi-close when he smiles



• How when i talk to him when hes awake, he'll make noises back



• how he loves the lulliby/ songs - rock a bye baby, hush little baby, and swing low sweet chariot even though i dont know the words



• his crazy hair that wont be tamed



• How he loves to sprawl out in the bed and if i, by accident, touch or move his arms in the slightest he protests with a loud growling sound.

How hes always a little toot when jerry watches him but once i get home he straightens up..
