Hayden's Basket

Ta-da. Gema got me this awsome basket from a garage sale. I put the blue ribbonaround the sides to keep the wicker from cracking everytime i moved it. I got the pad today- its a little too long but im not sure if i should cut it shorter or just deal with it. Overall im really glad gema found this. Its perfect to take with me or use in the apartment.

Bullets again

• Its been a slow couple of weeks since the shower. It seems like a lot has happened but when i try to think just what went on, i cant seem to put it into words.
• I had a doctors appointment almost two weeks ago. The doctor thought that Hayden *might* be breach but he wasnt 100% sure. So, im going to see him on monday and we're going to do a sonogram to see. Then if it turns out he is breach, the doctors going to try to manually turn him around. If that still doesnt work we're going to be talking about a c-section(which really scares me). I guess everything was going so well during my pregnancy that i never really thought about having to have surgery. So im kind of freaking out about it. He has been kicking/moving a lot lately. Maybe he'll work up so much momentum that he'll just spin around to the correct position. haha.
• The car seat that gema and my dad got me for thje shower finally came in today! Its really cute and comfortable. I like it a lot. I ended up getting a graco (which i had heard horror stories about) because the consumer reports had rated this car seat pretty well so i got it.
• I cant wait for the new indiana jones movie to come out. Im not sure ill get to see it in theaters but im sure going to rent it as soon as i can. Im thinking about getting the entire movie pack that has all the original Indiana Jones movies and just have a non-stop marathon. You are all invited- bring your favorite junk food and feel free to dress like your favorite character. haha.
• Do you remember eating the cinnamon rolls from Mr. Gattis? I do. Gosh they are sooo good. Yesterday I couldnt stop thinking about them. I finally called to order a dozen (which i would have gladly eaten) but i was told that they "rarely make them" now. What?! Since when does Gatti's pizza not offer these delicious little beasts on a daily basis? I think the kid i talked to just didnt want to make them. I called at 8:20 and they close at 9:00. *tear* Needless to say i was disappointed. I bought a can of walmart's rolls to make tonight.
• I need ideas for Beki's birthday present. Any suggestions?
• I have to comment on Don's lake that he made. I went over yesterday and was showed around. It looks SO good. I was surprised how it looks like its been there for years. There were even a couple of good sized turtles and tons of frogs that have moved in. I dont know why but i was thinking that it would take a while for the lake to have real animals/reptiles/whatever. Seeing the turtles reminded me of all those times that jenny took us to the "turtle pond" to go turtle hunting. There was also a lot of temporary grass growing around that made the lake look so tempting. I thought about jumping in, but i wasnt sure if i would be able to get out.

New Addition

We went and got a new tang today. Its still a baby. Its so small compared to the other one! Its pretty shy and darts behind the rocks when i try to get a picture, but i managed to get one of him peeking out to see if i had left yet.

Stuff

• Jerry's yellow tang died yesterday. Hes had her for over a year and we're not sure what happened. The guy at the fish store said that sometimes they just die and no one really knows their life expectancy. I have to say that the tank doesnt look the same without it.
• I registered for prepared childbirth class. Its all day saturday the 12th. Im kind of nervous about it.
• Theyre fixing the bathroom ceiling. They had to finish fixing the bathtub upstairs and when they did they found that there was another leak in the pipes and that there was mold growing above our ceiling in our bedroom. We never knew because there was no sign of it that we could see, but apparently they found it. We have to move all the bedroom furniture to the sides so they can fix it tomorrow. Im just glad that they immediately came down to tell me about it. I love the new owners.
• i need to wash the dishes. Blahh

Baby Shower Goodies

This past weekend was my baby shower and I cant say how grateful i am towards Jenny and Beki for throwing it for me. Im glad that the rain held out long enough for us to be able to enjoy ourselves. Everything was so cute and delicious (the cake was awesome *drool*). Afterwards we went and had a great dinner at Francescos. During that time, baby Grant popped a hole in his teether. When we left, Jenny left it on the table for them to throw away. The waiter came running out after he found it and tried to wave me down to return it.... I acted like i didnt see him and drove off. I felt a little bad as i sawhim walk back through the door with a depressed look on his face.

I was SO tired when i got home. All i remember is asking Jerry to unload the packed car, sitting down on the couch and complaining that my back hurt. Then I woke up and it was 9:30 on sunday and I was in my bed. Apparently, jerry was able to get me to wake up enough to waddle to the bed before i passed out from exhaustion. lol.

I love everything I got from the shower. The only thing that I have to return in the mobile that Dad and Tammy got my. It doesnt fit the sleigh crib that we have so it doesnt securely stay in place. I was pretty bummed but im sure I can find one that does fit.

These are my favorite outfits from the shower. Theyre so cute!This is after i put everything where it should go. Thats the cabinet that Jerry made. It has tons of storage space. Im still trying to figure out what to do to this wall- it looks so boring compared to the other green one.Notice the fish tank that jerry had to put in. Theres only two occupants in it right now- the ferocious tomato clown fish and a cardinal fish. The other two that we bought went belly up for some unknown reason. *tear* I still havent put on the bedding yet. I love the rocker that mom and granny got me for the shower- its really comfy.

I love just walking into the babys room and looking around. I cant wait for Hayden to actually be here!

Nesting?

I just hand scrubbed all the carpet in my living room/dining room/ hallway. I started and just couldnt stop. I started at one and just now finished. It looks a lot better. :)
